Simulation Hitcom Lite

The latest offshoot from the HITCOM II family is the Individual Trainee Training System (abbreviated to ICT due to its name in Dutch: Individueel Cursist Trainingssysteem). The system is the successor to the Hitcom II - Interactive Televoter Classroom Simulator (ITCS), which has already been successfully adopted by several regional constabularies and the Royal Netherlands Military Constabulary. Market demand called for automation of the entire shooting process on the range. In response to this, Autron came up with the ICT simulator.

What this boils down to in concrete terms is that the functionality of the existing simulator has been considerably simplified. The processes in this simulator are straightforward and predictable and the trainer does not have to issue instructions during the training session, issuing them beforehand instead.

As it was an offshoot of the Hitcom II - ITCS system, we called this simulator the Hitcom II - ICT. (Click on the image to enlarge it.) The system certainly does not replace the role of the trainer, but it is able to clarify the tasks where the trainee's standard allows this, and each simulator can be programmed remotely using a central computer. On location, the training can be run fully individually as well as under the supervision of the trainer. It is also possible to run interactive scenarios or computer animation according to a set path.

The predecessor of HITCOM II/ICT, the ICTS, was taken to market as a simulator in 2001 by a close-knit partnership comprising Autron, the simulation division of Siemens and our German partner BKE Media.
