On the shooting ranges, Autron will place the so-called ARM 2000 shooting floor. A shooting floor is mounted on the floor, based on the Autron ARM 2000 shooting floor system. The Autron bullet absorbing rubber segments are approximately 46 mm thick, including the top layer.
The segments are glued to the substratum and the mutual joints are closed with scratch mass. In this way, one single floor is created.
On the tiles a Self Leveling layer is poured with a nominal thickness of 2 mm, finished with a coloured coating. The coating is provided with a light grain in order to keep the floor sufficiently rough. This roughness will remain, even if gunpowder residues and deposits end up on the floor.
The floor is easily cleaned with a flameproof vacuum cleaner whether or not combined with a scrubbing machine. All this in accordance with the maintenance regulations.
The ARM 2000 shooting floor was developed when more and more reports came in concerning knee and ankle complaints amongst trainers. The long daily sessions on the concrete floors did not help, as a result of which Autron went looking for a better, more comfortable and more resilient alternative. However, in addition to user comfort, the ARM 2000 shooting floor has other benefits as well:
- Better absorption of the bullet impact, which means that dangerous ricochet behaviour is prevented.
- Better muffling effect
- The floor as a whole is more taut
- More comfortable when used
- Due to the light grain coating, the floor will remain rough, even in case of gunpowder residue contamination.
- Easy to clean
- Due to its resilient characteristics, the shooting floor is very comfortable for trainers as well as shooters in case of long exposure. This will result in less strain on the knee and ankle joints.
